"We have used social stories in our mainstream primary school quite a bit over the past year. We have used digital photos of the children and the staff members in the stories - this has been especially effective for transitions to new classes for children with autistic spectrum difficulties, and also for children just lacking self-confidence. I have also used some of the comic strip conversation ideas for helping a child to understand what has led up to an incident where he has become upset, for making his own visual reminder cards, and for him to record social learning successes. Carol Gray's books are great!"
