A template for creating a W-I-N-T-E-R acrostic poem. Students use the letters in Winter to begin each line. Each line should relate to the topic to Winter. For example, White snow, then Ice skating, and so on.

Winter bubble map
Use this bubble map to get your students thinking about winter. For use with non-readers/writers, have students locate winter pictures in magazines. Then assist them in cutting and pasting the images onto the map. For higer level students, have them brainstorm four different winter scenes they would want to write or talk about. |
